The pizza dough question
A few weekends ago, a few friends and I went on a pizza making adventure. We used the Whole Foods Pizza dough to make about 4 pizzas ranging from all veggie to all meat (including andouille sausage), and everything in between. I believe the WF pizza dough was maybe 2.79 a bag. It was beautiful. After about 4 hours the dough had doubled in size and puffed up to a perfect working texture.
... I saw the post (see below) re: pizza dough from trader joes for $1.30 and was a bit surprised. Is there $1.49 worth of "awesomeness" that I should continue to use the WF dough, or should I go with the TJ dough??
Anyone tried the TJ dough yet??

reminisce
Has anyone ever had pizza on cardboard with a white paper bag stapled at one end? And it's poofy on top?
Cincinnati Pizza
So... Mr. Hays, I think you should check out a well known Cincinnati Pizza joint the next time you visit Cincinnati.
Adriatico's Pizza. There is one around UC/Clifton. I'm not sure if there are others. They may only deliver, I'm not sure if they have seating. But....totally worth it.
It's so good I couldn't find a website, however 88% of the people on Urban Spoon seem to like it!

Yummm.

Born and bred, but obviously biased (like that alliteration)
FIREHOUSE PIZZA

There's one in Noblesville. Once again cheeses is what's making the difference here. It's the best pizza cheese ever. Crust is thin and sweet. and super crumbly sausage, unlike Godfathers which is like pellets. sausage pellets. hmmm. anyway, the sauce is good too. It's expensive though. And they're kinda mean. It's funny though because it's a dive, they're mean and it's expensive and I love it.
A Pizza You Can't Refuse
Pizza Mascots
Is it possible that the only true pizza mascot is "Little Caesar". Do we know of any other pizza mascots or does he have a monopoly on the pizza mascot position?
Indiana's Best Pizza?

On August 22, 2009 I visited a restaurant in Culver, IN called Papa's and sampled their pizza. I was very impressed with the pizza from what I thought was just a small local restaurant. The crust was a good thickness and they were very generous with toppings on my "Butcher's Block Pizza." Three adults were unable to finish our very filling large pizza, and our waitress brought out a to-go box that boldly stated "Indiana's Best Pizza" on it. I don't know who voted on this, and while I can come up with a few competitors for this prize, it is certainly one of the better pizzas I have had in Indiana. You can even check out their selection on their website...the aptly named: www.indianasbestpizza.com. This is a photo of the pizza I ate, but their website has even more appetizing photos.
Lunch Diary
LUNCH # 1 = Brie, French Bread, red grapes, mixed nuts.
LUNCH # 2 = White Bread,Cucumbers, Fresh Dill, Salt, Cream Cheese (whipped). pretzel, Chips, Sour Cream with Minced Onions and Worcestershire Sauce, Red Grapes.
LUNCH # 3 = French Bread, Bacon, Olive Oil, Fresh Basil, Garden Fresh, Vine Ripened Indiana Home Grown Tomatoes, Smoked Mozzarella (toasted)
So, there you have it. This is Emily and Kelly's lunch diary to date. All three lunch's have been extraordinary and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. And might I say that all of these were pleasing to the eye ta boot. And all three were Emily's ideas. Delicious bread and fresh ingredients are something they all have in common. These are the best afternoon meals I've had since I started working here over a year ago. I feel nourished instead of the slightly ill feeling I get after eating at a local restaurant. So, maybe I can come up with an idea for the next one, not to be out done. My pride won't allow it. Although, if it ain't broke don't fix it and Emily's been doing great thus far. I think the magic is in her little canvas and navy LL Bean monogrammed tote.

Rumor has it...
That Ryan will be posting a Welcome to My Pizza Blog letter. Maybe talk a little about the Minnesota Vikings.
Rules
If Ryan really likes a pizza, it gets a 10 if not it gets a one. If there is no pizza, that's a zero. Kapish?
